Can homes and living environments improve our health?

A few weeks ago Arendal Week was held in Norway. It is a festival and venue for politicians, organisations, businesses, and the public to come together to discuss societal issues.

Randi Augenstein held a presentation on the government initiative to accelerate housing construction, which promises 130,000 new homes by 2030.

The design of a neighbourhood or housing can either promote or inhibit social interaction and social networking. We can therefore use housing as a tool to strengthen social infrastructure and promote social health.

The full event can be streamed on Vimeo.
