What is NEB-STAR?

“Beautiful. Sustainable. Together.”

The New European Bauhaus is a creative and interdisciplinary EU initiative that connects the European Green Deal to our living spaces and experiences. With research and innovation at the forefront of NEB’s procedure, it will be a driving force for new ideas, prototypes and products, whilst building a bridge between art, culture, education, science and technology.

For and with people.

Working closely together with the wider community – with people, businesse, municipalities, and all the actors in our society, is an integral part of our design philosophy: “for and with people”.

This approach forms an important part of our contribution towards a better and more sustainable future. A such, we are excited to introduce our partnership with NEB-STAR, the New European Bauhaus (Stavanger), who Helen & Hard have been a proud partner with since 2022.

NEB-STAR in Stavanger

Helen & Hard’s home city of Stavanger is selected as one of the lighthouse demonstrators for the New European Bauhaus.

“We will change the way municipalities, businesses, citizens, and other actors work together, in order to find fair and robust solutions to our climate and social challenges.”

– NEB-STAR, Stavanger

As one of six cities within the NEB Project, the aim is to work with social innovation to become climate neutral faster, in an inclusive, aesthetic, and sustainable way.

We are excited to be a part of this project, and look forward to demonstrating how Stavanger, in cooperation with our twin cities Prague and Utrecht, can together provide insightful experimentation, demonstrations, and guidance on NEB principles and urban transitions.
